Dear Devotees,

Namonamaha. Jaya Srila Prabhupada!

This is to announce that a new conference is beginning on COM wherein those

who would like to learn how to communicate in samskritam (sanskrit) are most

welcome to participate.

The general notion about Samskritam is that it is an awfully hard language

to learn, hence better not bother!

The fact is that today in India there are thousands of brahmanas and

enthusiasts who speak samskritam & they use it as a language of

communication.

The fruit of learning samskritam in a simple, conversational form is simple;

the more you familiarize yourself with the words, the more you increase your

comprehension. The aim is to relish the Bhagavatam, Gita and other Vedic

literatures. Samskritam is the language of Lord Krishna.

This method, in modern educational circles, is known as "immersion" & it's

the method the United States government uses to teach the Peace Corps

volunteers before the go into the field.

We will try our best to learn simple, spoken samskritam, without speaking -

because this will be done through the medium of our computers.

Suswagatam! (Welcome!)

Bhavadiya (your's) dasaha (servant)
