Dear devotees

Please accept my humble obeisances .All Glories to Srila Prabhupada .

 

Just a note to let everyone know that I fully support the comments of

Anantarupa and Shyamasundara Prabhus and am very upset by Ananda Prabhu's

remarks and their publication on an Iskcon forum .

 

Two months ago I stopped visiting VNN snd Chakra becuase I felt it was

detrimental to my consciousness and I have never regretted it since . The

recent article on Chakra belittled the Sacred Science of Jyotish,belittled

Srila Prabhupada and belittled the Vedas .I do not know what has become of

Iskcon that such an article is published .

 

As for the content of the article it consisted of many statements that had

not been thought through and was really a collection of cheap shots . As a

fifteen year devotee (12 of them spent on the Melbourne Managemnet Committee

and current Vice President) a ten year student of astrology with an honors

degree in mathematical statistics the article is bad astrology,bad

statistics and worst of all bad siddhanta .

 

A few months back during the hoop la surrounding the 30th anniversary of the

Moon Landing one senior astrologer cautioned that if one wanted to doubt

Srila Prabhupada's statements on the Moon Landing then he could end up

doubting everything . This is one prediction of the astrolger that has

certainly come to pass .If you are going to reject Srila Prabhupada's

teachings on one thing then you will certainly come to reject a lot more

..So it is very important that we stay faithful to Srila Prabhupada's

techings on the Vedic literatures, the moon landing ,the position of women ,

four regulative principles ,astrology and so on . Srila Prabhupada stated

that his credit was that he did not change anything his Spiritual Master

taught him .He also stated that those who doubted Srila Bhaktisiddhanta fell

away.

 

Those who have been wrongly led by these types of thinking are advised to

stop visiting Cakra and VNN amd study Srila Prabhupada's books .It is not

the quantity of our sources that will improve our understanding but the

quality . According to statistics presented by the two Vaisnava news

services they receive 27,000 "hits" per day . If there are 300 Iskcon

temples in the world that is about 90 "hits" per temple . My question is all

these people have time to visit these news services but do we have 90 people

per day in each temple attending SB class,doing practical service and

studying Srila Prabhupada's books ?
