Guest guest
My only explanation is that the shell account that you are using ignores the command from COM that it should switch off the local echo during the Zmodem transfer. With local echo switched on Zmodem transfer is not possible. What happens if you go on-line and enter the command "Echo On"? (This tells COM to echo every character and to switch of the local echo. Then any character you type should not be immediately displayed but only after a delay. And of course it should not be double.) > I never had this happen with WinCOM 36, it seems especially so since > I started using 38. In both versions the Zmodem routines are identical.
