My only explanation is that the shell account that you are using ignores the

command from COM that it should switch off the local echo during the Zmodem

transfer. With local echo switched on Zmodem transfer is not possible.

 

What happens if you go on-line and enter the command "Echo On"?

 

(This tells COM to echo every character and to switch of the local echo.

Then any character you type should not be immediately displayed but only

after a delay. And of course it should not be double.)

In both versions the Zmodem routines are identical.
