MacCOM 43

I have uploaded following files to the "(PAMHO) System (Info)" conference:

 

MCOMP43.SIT (432K) MacCOM version 43 (for PowerPC Mac)

MCOMM43.SIT (396K) MacCOM version 43 (for 68K Mac)

MCOMP43U.SIT (51k) Update of MacCOM for PowerPC from 42 to 43

MCOMM43U.SIT (55k) Update of MacCOM for 86K Mac from 42 to 43

 

The main changes since version 42 are:

- MacCOM simultaneously connects to telnet.pamho.net and bes.d2g.com and

uses the first connection that is established.

- The Zmodem transfer should work better with bad connections like in India.

- MacCOM can zip the attached file before uploading it.

The rest is small changes and bug fixes.

 

To find out which one of above files you should download, look at "About

MacCOM" in the Apple menu.

 

If it says "Version 42 (PPC)":

- download MCOMP43U.SIT (by "Commands" / "Download a file"),

- in MacCOM do "File" / "Open my Folder" and go to the "FILES" folder,

- exit MacCOM,

- unstuff MCOMP43U.SIT to the MacCOM folder,

- run "Update of MacCOM from 42 to 43"

(if it does not work, then try it with a freshly unstuffed MCOMP42.SIT).

 

If it says "Version 42 (68K)":

- download MCOMM43U.SIT (by "Commands" / "Download a file"),

- in MacCOM do "File" / "Open my Folder" and go to the "FILES" folder,

- exit MacCOM,

- unstuff MCOMM43U.SIT to the MacCOM folder,

- run "Update of MacCOM 68K 42 to 43".

(if it does not work, then try it with a freshly unstuffed MCOMM42.SIT).

 

If you have any other MacCOM version for PowerPC Mac (PPC):

- download MCOMP43.SIT (by "Commands" / "Download a file"),

- in MacCOM do "File" / "Open my Folder" and go to the "FILES" folder,

- exit MacCOM,

- unstuff MCOMP43.SIT to the MacCOM folder.

 

If you have any other MacCOM version for 68K Mac:

- download MCOMM43.SIT (by "Commands" / "Download a file"),

- in MacCOM do "File" / "Open my Folder" and go to the "FILES" folder,

- exit MacCOM,

- unstuff MCOMM43.SIT to the MacCOM folder.
