In the preferences you should choose "Keep the font's original encoding". But since the quadratic curves (TrueType) are converted to Bezier curves (PostScript), the shape of the characters is slightly changed. Originaly the fonts were PostScript fonts. I suggest you download the Postscript version of the diacritics fonts from the "Windows" conference: SANCOU06.ZIP 31453 25.08.94 PostScript Sanskrit Courier Fonts SANGAR06.ZIP 98971 25.08.94 Postscript Sanskrit Garamond Fonts SANHLV06.ZIP 32478 25.08.94 PostScript Sanskrit Helvetica Fonts SANPAL06.ZIP 89076 25.08.94 PostScript Sanskrit Palatino Fonts SANTMS06.ZIP 73875 25.08.94 PostScript Sanskrit Times Fonts SANZCH06.ZIP 26927 25.08.94 PostScript Sanskrit ZapfChancery Fonts SANBEN01.ZIP 52806 18.07.00 Postscript Benguiat font with diacritics
