Guest guest
This is the complete list of changes in WinCOM / MacCOM 45: Change in NodeInfo.ini: - NodeInfo.ini tells WinCOM that the IP address of PAMHO and CIS is fixed. This allows a faster connection. - telnet.pamho.net and bes.d2g.com are not connected simultaneously anymore. - The phone number for pamho.net and cis.pamho.net is removed. Fixed bugs: - If in the Connection Setup the Zmodem window sizes were not both 'Common', then WinCOM could not log in and said "Cannot load WSOCK32.DLL". - If when adding a new user or in the User Options you entered your e-mail address instead of your name, then commands like the one to download the address book failed. (Now WinCOM removes the domain if entered.) - WinCOM crashed if you filed a text in a directory, a search box, or a tree and a directory not containing that text was open. - WinCOM crashed if you opened another password protected cabinet and moved around the password box or entered the wrong password. = While Windows 2000 (or another slow starting Windows) was starting up, you could start WinCOM more than once and then all copies were running. - If there were more than 65535 texts in the filing cabinet, then there were arithmetic overflows in the number of texts in directories, especially for the "Main Directory". - If you, as the moderator, added your conference as a receiver, then WinCOM still filed the text to Letters. - If in the Address Book Options you never changed "Report Changes on ...", then WinCOM did not report the address book changes. - WinCOM crashed when displaying a date before 01-Mar-1975. - After you imported a group in the address book the changes have not been saved. - Sometimes WinCOM crashed when you cancelled the connection to COM. - If WinCOM did not know the PGP key ID of the user and therefore could not check if the secret key was present, WinCOM still downloaded the mail encrypted. - Entering '$' to restrict the search to the currently selected box searched in the wrong box. And after clicking "Show/Hide empty" the wrong box has been highlighted. - The last login time was not always display in local time. = Under Windows 2000 or later the initial folder for the file name dialogs was ignored by Windows. - WinCOM crashed when reading a read-only filing cabinet with large texts. - WinCOM crashed if the query string was too long. - WinCOM crashed if in the "Commands" window the entered note or presentation was longer than 1000 characters. - If you added a new WinCOM user, then in the Connection Setup the Zmodem window sizes were 'none' instead of 'common'. - If in the Connection Setup you selected "Proxy", then you could not enter the optional Winsock folder. - 12 other small bugs.
