Guest guest
Dear Maharaja, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. In your article "Rtvik Theory - Out of the Question", which I printed out from Chakra and read on 17 January 1999, you have written: "This topic (RTVIK) has been discussed threadbare back and forth and various interpretations have been given, but the bottom line remains that the Rtvik Theory Proponents cannot produce any proof that Srila Prabhupada actually desired to establish a Rtvik "Proxy-initiation" system to continue when he was not physically present". You also wrote: "One problem is that specifically Srila Prabhupada did not say that the process he was setting up was for all time." Is that why the GBC stopped the system immediately upon Srila Prabhupada's entering Samadhi and shortly after introduced the unmentioned Zonal Acharya System? Would it not have been more logical to let the set up system run, untill it had become completely clear beyond any doubt, how Srila Prabhupada had wanted Initiations to be continued? Shouldn't a system set up by Srila Prabhupada without any instruction to terminate it at any time in the future not simply have remained in place? Would anyone think of stopping the basic requirements of 4 principles, 16 rounds set as standard by Srila Prabhupada? No! Why then the Ritvik system of initiation was stopped without any clear instruction of Srila Prabhupada to do so? Who were the persons who took this most important decision and why? I would be grateful if you could kindly answer the above questions or have someone answer them on behalf of the GBC. your servant, Krishna Priya devi dasi
