Guest guest
My Dear Isvara Prabhu, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada. You have spoken very nicely. We should not think that Srila Prabhupada was not powerful enough to make at least one pure devotee to carry on the disciplic succession. Surely a powerful Vaisnava Acharya of his caliber could make at least one pure devotee. History will prove that in spite of some major disasters, which sent devastating ripples through the ISKCON world, that many of his disciples were in fact very pure souls who powerfully acted as acharyas for expanding Prabhupada's movement more and more. In Australia Srila Prabhupada told us that just as he had done ten times more than his Guru Maharaja he wanted each of us to do ten times more than him. Krishna always fulfills the desires of his pure devotees. Srila Prabhupada wanted us to be powerful acharyas. By his desire it will happen. Hoping this meets you in good health, Always your humble servant, Sankarshan Das Adhikari ==================================================== Contact Information: Ph: 1-512-835-2121 Mail: ISKCON, 10700 Jonwood Way, Austin, Texas 78753 USA Isvara (das) GGS (Vrindavana - IN) [isvara.GGS (AT) pamho (DOT) net] Friday, February 13, 2004 7:45 AM Initiations in ISKCON RE: Start at the beginning > > My apologies for sending to this conference a text I meant to send > privately to Samba Dasa. > > Of course, for my central point I make no apology: I find foreign to > Srila Prabhupada's teachings the notion that he intended to be the > last and final spiritual master in his disciplic line. > > Hare Krsna. The whole idea that Srila Prabhupada is the last in the disciplic line is quite close-minded, and it is indicative of non understanding of the Vedic teachings or the teachings of the Vaisnava acaryas. Having bad experiences of fallen gurus does not negate the fact that the disciplic succession has to continue no matter what the situation. Otherwise the whole process of Krishna consciousness become devoid of life. As one great Vaisnava acarya, Srila Gour Govinda Maharaja, pointed out that there is always a pure devotee on the planet, otherwise there is no reason for Krishna to maintain this nasty material universe. The universe is maintained solely because of the presence of the pure devotees. We may not have have eyes to see them, but they are present, and I am sure in the line of Srila Prabhupada. Such pure devotees are capable of continuing the disciplic succession. I don't think Srila Prabhupada would be very proud to be the last link in the line of the spiritual masters, because there would be no pure devotee after him. We need to be more introspective. Hare Krishna.
