But, since he took this as an opportunity to support his personal views, I have to say that his arguments have already been defeated by Krishnakant prabhu, the author of The Final Order, on page 81 of named book. I like to point out that those who choose either option 1 or 2 above, in fact are choosing the Ritvik saystem, for that is the system of Initiations Srila Prabhupada put in place towards the end of his physical presence in Iskcon, and asked it to be continued without putting any time limitation on this order! All other views are not based on any written final directive, such as the July 9th, 1977 letter. Evidence to overrule the July 9th letter order have to be still found. ***In logic, later statements supersede earlier ones in importance. (Gurus and Initiations in Iskcon, page 25)*** your servant, Krishna Priya dasi PS For the time being this will be my last posting on Initiations, as I do not want to divert the attention from the vital question asked by Krishnakant prabhu, but on which unfortunately to date no response has followed... CAN SOMEONE PLEASE STATE AND DEFEND THE OFFICIAL GBC STAND ON INITIATIONS IN ISKCON...

Srila Prabhupada I vote for Srila Prabhupada, if that means that Initiations by his disciples within and outwith of ISKCON are bona fide.
