Sorry, this was my speculation. I cannot produce quotes. So I am going back

to my first position based on statements by Srila Prabhupada: The diksa guru

must meet the disciple and observe him.

 

Now can the ritvik followers please explain how their position is in line

with the statements by Srila Prabhupada who was quoting Sanatana Gosvami.
