But then why did he said "WE initiate our students". "We" is plural.

I agree with you that the initiation system described in the books should

not be changed. But please avoid circular conclusions like:

 

1. Since Srila Prabhupada was the sole initiator, he meant "initiated by

me".

2. Since Srila Prabhupada meant "initiated by me", this means he is the

sole initiator.
