All glories to Srila Prabhupada. Thank you for your response. I sympathise with your line of thought, but since Iskcon is Srila Prabhupada's Institution and it was up to him to decide how he wanted his movement continued, I think we have no choice other than accepting him as our diksa guru. Having said that, Srila Prabhupada very much encouraged and expected all his disciples to become Siksa Guru's. EVERYONE and I mean everyone could, should and are authorized to be Siksa Guru's in ISKCON. Even the present gurus preach that Siksa is more important than Diksa. Why then are they so adament to become Diksa gurus? It does not make sense. The Ritvik system is actually perfect. It has to be. Otherwise Srila Prabhupada would not have introduced it. Since there is no question about Srila Prabhupada being the most qualified Diksa Guru, a position which is eternal, whereas those acting on behalf of Srila Prabhupada, while expected to give the highest personal example to those they connect to Srila Prabhupada, by being Ritvik for His Divine Grace, are not expected to be mahabhagavata's.... Fools are those who prefer to have anyone other than Srila Prabhupada, the Incarnation of Guru, as Diksa guru and choose a socalled physically present guru, of whom he is not sure, whether he will make it or not as guru.....not sure if the relationship will last this one lifetime, let alone eternity. Who said that Srila Prabhupada is not present. He is physically present in his samadhi in Vrindavan and spiritually all-pervading everywhere, where his devotees need him. Inconceivable, but true! your servant, Krishna Priya devi dasi.
