Guest guest
Dear Sudama Prabhu, PAMHO. AGTSP! > But he was never qualified to be a diksa guru, as is evinced by his > falldown and betrayal of his own guru Srila Prabhupada. Of course he was qualified because he just repeated what Srila Prabhupada said. > A real guru would never reject his own spiritual master's instructions. If the disciple sees that the instruction of the guru creates havoc (e.g. child abuse) because it is misunderstood or not followed in right way, then he can reject that instruction or say that the instruction was not so good. > Anyway I would be very interested to hear how you are connected to Srila > Prabhupada through Harikesh Swami. When Harikesa Swami initiated me, he was not less authorized to initiate than Srila Prabhupada was authorized because both received the same instruction from their guru: "You are intelligent, please preach in other countries, and translate and print books". See also following lecture: I am very pleased to say that our Harikesa, I ordered him to go immediately to Poland, and he thought that he was being punished. That was... No. I was thinking that "Here is a very impor..., very intelligent boy. If he is given chance to preach he'll come out very successful." So I see the glimpses that he has got now post. He's a very good organizer. That's a chance. At that time he might have thought that I was separating him. No. My good will was there that he should be given chance for better opportunity. So I am very much happy that he is doing there very nice. So this should be the attitude. My Guru Maharaja wanted me to preach in the Western countries, although I was at that time a ordinary manager in a chemical firm. I never thought, but I took it seriously. So from that 1922, in 1965 it was fruitful. (His Divine Grace Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Gosvami Prabhupada's Disappearance Day, Lecture -- Hyderabad, December 10, 1976) As I know, Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur did not explicitly tell Srila Prabhupada: "I order you to become guru" (please correct me if I am wrong). So if Srila Prabhupada was authorized to initiate, then Harikesa Swami was authorized too. In the July 9th Letter Harikesa Swami was listed amongst the eleven rtviks which means that he was additionally authorized to initiate those devotees on behalf of Srila Prabhupada who wanted to become disciples of Srila Prabhupada. The July 9th letter did not revoke the instruction given to Harikesa Swami to preach in other countries and print books. Therefore on Nrsimha Caturdasi 1989 I have been connected to Srila Prabhupada (and the whole parampara) through Harikesa Swami. ys Ramakanta dasa
