Please don't be bewildered by the replies you got from the ritvik followers.

By "initiation" they means something different. They mean: "Reading Srila

Prabhupadas books and following his instructions. The diksa guru does not

have to do anything." Of course for such an 'initiation' the physical

presence of the diksa guru is not required.
