Guest guest
Dear Ramakanta prabhu, Pamho. AGTSP! Actually I do not feel any need to defend my stand on this forum. But, I like debating, for it strenghtens the mind. > Dear Krishna Priya Mataji, PAMHO. I wrote something similar: > Of course if you are able to communicate with a departed guru as if he is > personally present, then you can take personal initiation from him. With the use of Ritviks, Srila Prabhupada, though physically departed does not need to be personally present; even though he appears in dreams of devotees, which have always been claimed as being spiritual - as dreaming of Krishna and His pure devotees can never be mondain - but to keep things straight and not on 'possibe imaginary platform' we leave that out of consideration. As per Srila Prabhupada's setup of ISKCON, the 'representatives of Srila Prabhupada' could be the ones to fill the vacuum felt by the individuals; but even though they can do this in the capacity authorised by Srila Prabhuapda for them, they choose to seek evidence from guru and shastra prior to Srila Prabhupada in order to continue things THEIR way under the name of 'the eternal parampara system". It is quite ironical. If it was not so serious and unfortunate, I could have had a good laugh about it. > > > is puzzling for me to see how ISKON apologist are considering srila > > Prabupada's most legimate Ritvik arrangement to be mayavadi > > "Impersonal" does not mean "mayavada". For example the four kumaras were > impersonalist (before the met Vishnu) but never mayavadis. The Four Kumara's before becoming Vaishnava's believed the Supreme to be the Impersonal Brahmayoti. They could not comprehend HIS SACCITANANDA original VIGRAHA. How this is compared to Ritvik being Mayavada is still beyong my comprehension, for we do not claim that Srila Prabhupada has dissolved in the impersonal Brahmajyoti???? Nor do we say that Srila Prabhupada has stopped being an 'individual being". Rather we say that Srila Prabhupada is STILL VERY MUCH EXISTENT as the EVER LIBERATED GURU manifestation of the Lord and that physical distance, thanks to the perfect arrangement he left for is in the form of Initiation through Ritvks, is the perfect means to link up with our eternal spiritual master. > > FALLDOWN IN ITSELF IS NOT PROOF OF BEING AUTHORISED, ONLY POSSIBLE > > INDICATION. > > Probably you wanted to say: FALLDOWN IN ITSELF IS NOT PROOF OF _NOT_ BEING > AUTHORISED, ONLY POSSIBLE INDICATION. Yes. That is indeed what I meant. Not falling down is in itself also not proof of being authorised.... It is not black and white like that. > > ys Ramakanta dasa your servant, Krishnapriya dasi
