ACTION - In cooperation with the BBT and under its patronage, we have

started a Sastra - dana project,The Polish Gita Library Fund to collect

donations for printing 10,000 copies of Bhagavad Gita and distribute them

free to all the public libraries in Poland.

EFFECTS - Every five dollars of your donation will allow one copy of

Bhagavad Gita to be placed in one public library, with the effect

(sttistically) that from two to twenty persons every year will borrow and

read Bhagavad Gita and thus have - often - their very first contact with

Sri Krishna message to the follen souls of Kali Yuga.

This edition of Bhagavad Gita is designed for long and heavy use.

It will last for decades, 60 years or longer. So - doing the math - every

five dollars of your donation will introduce Bhagavad Gita to hundreds of

readers of the present generation and generations to come.

We have 8,850 libraries in Poland with 7,500,000 registered readers.

PLACE - Poland, situated in the middle of the European continent, is home

to 38 millions citizens.

For the last 17 years, Poland has played host to largescale preaching

efforts by Srila Prabhupada followers - The Festival Of India - festival

attended by up to 400,000 people, and succesful preaching efforts

conducted by temples, nama-hatta groups and traveling preachers and

sannyasis.

BENEFITS - By placing Bhagavad Gita in public libraries, we will make the

science, philosophy, culture, ethics and moral teachings of Krishna

Consciousness available for professors, journalists, politicians, priests,

students, teachers, retired people, parents, searchers for spirituality,

the curious - everybody interested in Vedic knowlage now and for decades

to come.

I haven't mentioned the spiritual benefits of this action because it is

way beyond my imperfect understanding.
