There is such vehement struggle going on between Iskcon, modelled by the

GBC, and the IRM, Iskcon Revival Movement, which is trying to show us how

Srila Prahbupada's Ritvik Order is there, real...and substantiated.

In forming our opinions about any matter, we need to get the relevant

information. Without wanting to study the evidence from both sides, one

cannot claim to have understood the situation properly and fully.

When reading the paper: "The False Dawn of Guru Reform", which is in

response to the paper "Cleaning House and Cleaning Hearts" - by Ravindra

Svarupa prabhu, it has indeed dawned on me very clearly, where Iskcon has

started to go wrong and continued on the wrong track ever since.

This paper "The False Dawn of Guru Reform" is indeed an eye opener, and I

would suggest anyone seriously interested in knowing the truth regarding

what instruction Srila Prabhupada actually gave, to read it. Iskcon

apologists are inclined to reject this paper simply based on the fact, that

the writer is the same as of "The Final Order", namely Krishnakant Desai,

who is seen as the leader of the IRM movement.

However, the truth that prevails in "The False Dawn of Guru Reform" speaks

for itself.......! In the conclusion Krishnakant Desai has written:

"As we hope this critique has demonstrated, the process of reform and

renewal has not yet even begun. Nor has the movement ever honestly come to

terms with its past. Rather, it continues to live in denial, albeit in an

extremely sophisticated and scholarly manner. Indeed, CHCH is trumpeted to

the scholarly community as a supposedly honest and frank exercise in

self-criticism. But elaborate academic conferences will not hide the simple

fact that one unauthorised Guru system has simply been repalaced by another.

This is the real painful truth of the matter. And what we have seen is a

consistently self-serving and inaccurate rendition of the facts surrounding

Srila Prabhupada's instructions for how initiations should continue within h

his movement. The academic community has been cleverly fed a tissue of lies

dressed up as convivial soul-searching, whilst dissenters are surreptiously

muzzled in the background.

We are, however, fully in agreement with the author's final sentence. Only

when the movement truthfully confronts its past, and implements the real

desires of Srila Prabhupada can it have a "viable and progressive future".

We hope those who interact with the movement will urge the ISKCON leadership

to start this process by addressing the conclusions presented in this

essay.Only by doing so, we believe, will the true dawn of reform bless

ISKCON with all success"

**************************************************************************

Now my painful experience is that when you confront the Iskcon leadership,

you are simply placed out of the movement, as ultimate punishment. I am

expected to follow - no questions asked....this is Iskcon's ultimate weapon,

which will proof to be self defeating in the end.........

So, in this paper "The False Dawn on Guru Reform" I have seen:

1. How Ravindra Svarupa prabhu has managed to push through socalled Guru

Reform, through political exercise with no basis or authority from the

Founder of ISKCON, Srila Prabhupada. And that the basis of these reforms

were contradictory and without substance.

2. That these reforms succeeded only in replacing one unauthorised Guru

system with another, and in doing so continued to suppress the ritvik system

that was actually chosen by Srila Prabhupda for ISKCON's future, even though

ironically these reforms were based on this very selection.

3. That the ISKCON leadership is not presenting an accurate account of these

reforms, either to the movement's membership, or to the academic community

that interacts with the movement..............

just like Krishnakant has claimed!

so, let the saga continue............

The truth is that Lord Caitanya ordered us

to become Guru and Srila Prabhupada ordered

us to follow Lord Caitanya.
