Guest guest
Dear devotees. Please accept my obeisances. This is a letter we just sent to the local paper and is based on arguments used by Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakur taken from the book Bhaktivinoda Vani Vaibhava by Torchlite publishers. When atheists argue against theism, often the shortcomings and mistakes of the adherents to theism are cited as proof of theism's irrelevence. It is true that in the begininng stages of religious life, shortcomings, failures and even illusion abounds, but that is not a good enough reason to stop religion. If a market contains poor quality items, an intelligent person will not close the market but reform it, therefore improving the quality of the items. Being similarly intelligent, instead of stopping religion we should reform religion, so that it's practitioners may attain good character and intelligence so much sooner.
