Guest guest
My Dear Vaisnava Prabhus, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. If the ritvikvadis choose to disagree with other Vaisnavas this is their prerogative, but there must not be Vaisnava aparadha as we see fills every page of their BTP magazine. This constant Sisupala-like barrage belies someone who is not fixed in the proper understanding of siddhanta. If they actually have a better understanding of siddhanta let them back it up by proper Vaisnava behavior. Until they start behaving as proper ladies and gentlemen we cannot take what they say very seriously, nor will they attract followers who will develop proper Vaisnava qualities. I have practical experience of their members attacking me with the anger of a pit bull dog. Srila Prabhupada taught us that even in debating we should keep a cool head. Below are my responses to Krishna Priya Mataji's comments. Always hoping to swim in the nectarean ocean of your mercy, Your eternal servant, Sankarshan Das Adhikari "All my disciples are leaders... as much as they follow purely." Srila Prabhupada Therefore we can understand when Srila says, "You can also become guru. That we want." that this applies only to those who are purely following him. You cannot say that if someone acts as guru that they are by definition acting impurely and therefore they are not qualified to be guru. This is a bogus argument because Srila Prabhupada repeatedly ordered us to become gurus. As I quoted the other day Srila Prabhupada told us that when we are mature in Krishna consciousness, "It is better to become Acharya." That maturity qualifier is described by Srila Rupa Goswami as someone who has controlled his six pushings. You cannot bring examples of fallen gurus to prove that the guru parampara system reconfirmed by Srila Prabhupada is not valid. If that were the case you could reject the guru parampara system of the strength of Sukracarya as described in the Srimad Bhagavatam. Yes, it is best not to accept any disciples because it is a karmic burden upon the spiritual master, but out of compassion he accepts the burden to help others achieve spiritual perfection. Everyone in the disciplic line simply considers himself a humble unfit servant of the predecessor acharyas, that he is simply accepting disciples on behalf of his Guru Maharaja. Srila Prabhupada is always the unique Founder-Acharya whose word is law. No one can ever go against his teachings. Others may act as acharyas on his behalf only if they strictly follow his instructions. No bonafide spiritual master considers himself to be a guru. He simply takes the position on behalf of his guru because he was ordered to so do. Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur states, "If a guru thinks, 'I am a guru.' then the first 'u' letter in the word guru disappears (the word becomes 'garu' or cow)." That we want.">>> Is it really as "simple" as that? So, anyone can become Guru, when they feel up to it, but as easily abandon the position and the disciples, as so many have done in ISKCON? Because after all, it is all the individual's "fault", "decision", "karma". The socalled "authorised Gurus" can wriggle out of their voluntary taken up responsibility...any time they like ?! If everyone was indeed PURE DEVOTEE, there was no problem to this proposition. Unfortunately, to find a pure devotee, is indeed extremely rare....in that regard it is safer to stick to Srila Prabhupada's point: "best not to accept any disciples". Rather, as His Divine Grace desired, knowing well why, let Him remain the Acharya of the Institution ISKCON and be guru in the sense of teachers in Srila Prabhupada's spiritual Institute; which is exactly what the Ritvik Order conveys.................. ys KPdd
