Dear Prabhus,

 

Hare Krsna. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. PAMFO I

hope all is well.

 

I'm not writing the following to "contradict" or argue

what has been sent to me, but I feel that I should

submit the following information for anyone who may

want to take it into consideration:

 

Regarding this matter, I specfically wrote to Srila

Gour Govinda Maharaj concerning this, since several

people had advised me to drink my own urine in 1995

for my bodily conditions, and I wanted to hear from

someone who I felt would be able to give me good

scriptural advice in this regard.

 

Certainly I am NOT denying what is written below, yet

I have some hesitations since in Srila Gour Govinda

Maharaj's reply letter, (written a week before He left

this earthly realm) he was very explicit about NOT

drinking one's own urine, his saying that the Vedas

stated that one should NOT do this.

 

Obviously we know that the Vedas do cover for all the

three modes, including that of tamas. So what is given

below, is it from a scripture for those in the mode of

goodness, passion, ignorance, or above the modes?

Again, I am NOT trying to argue, or present something

controversial. I am simply presenting what I am for

GOOD clarification, as I certainly would NOT want to

do something that Srila Prabhupada would tell me I

should not be doing. And if He was to tell me that it

is alright, certainly I would know that it was.

 

IF Srila Prabhupada had been present on the planet, I

would have tried to write to Him, as whatever reply He

would have given to me, I would have had NO doubt.

 

Does anyone have any further (scriptural) knowledge of

this - or (even better, as far as I am concerned, does

anyone know of anything that Srila Prabhupada said in

this regard? (That it is authorized in the Veda and

can/should/is allowed to be done, or that it should

NOT be done. I was TOLD that doing this is in the mode

of ignorance.)
