Guest guest
You are accusing me of acting out of my own personal motivation for profit, adoration, and distinction. This is not a fact. My only desire is to serve the order of my Guru Maharaja. I surrendered to Srila Prabhupada for the simple purpose of being fully surrendered servant of Krishna. And to this day 34 years later this remains my only motivation. Srila Prabhupada encouraged me that I could become a spiritual master and even gave me pointers on how I could qualify myself to serve him in this way. I am accepting disciples for no other purpose to serve his mission, not because I have any desire for followers. Krishna Priya (dasi) (Amsterdam - NL) [Krishna.Priya (AT) pamho (DOT) net] Friday, January 14, 2005 7:02 AM Sankarshan Das Adhikari Absurd Ritivk Philosophy? - ABSURD GBC Philosophy! <<<<<<It's actually laughable how absurd this rivik philosophy is. Recently a ritivk sympathizer was giving Srimad Bhagavatam class in a major ISKCON temple. In the purport Srila Prabhupada was saying that we should only hear from a pure devotee. So this devotee told us that we should only hear from Srila Prabhuapda and no one else.>>>>> Who is this ritvik sympathiser. Whoever he is, obviously his understanding is not correct. One is entitled to repeat the words of the GURU, for so far he has personally heard, practised and realised it. Otherwise, what is the use, of repeating like a parrot! <<<<<But wait a minute! Why should we hear from him? If he really believes that we should only hear from Srila Prabhupada then why is he speaking?>>>>> The Mayavadi's say being "Mauna", "Silent" is best. Yet they speak so much nonsense. Did not Srila Prabhupada say, they should shut up and be silent, for they talk nonsense anyway? But devotee of Krishna is advised to speak - "yare dekha tahe kaha krsna upadesa" <<<<<I was in Los Angeles when Srila Prabhupada had one of his disciples give the class while Srila Prabhupada sat and heard the class. So it is obvious that in the context of Srila Prabhupada's instruction that we should only hear from a pure devotee, that someone who is strictly following Srila Prabhupada and repeating his instructions without adulteration (as the ritviks do) can be accepted as a pure devotee.>>>> I agree with you that one can be accepted as a pure devotee, for so far he is following the instructions of the Acharya purely. Still that does not mean one is qualified to become the ACHARYA. If this person, allowed to speak in front of the Spiritual Master, would think: "Just see, I have become more advanced than my spiritual master, that he is listening to me.............then that proves he would be fool number one. Right? So, please stop arguing foolishly. Become truly serious about Krishna Consciousness and placeISKCON'S FUTURE befor your own aspirations........] but of course: that is exactly what you are doing, isn't it ...in your circular thinking? For by being guru, at all costs, you think you are keeping the parampara going!!! How "foolish" of me. Well, what can I say? Should perhaps just shut up and only open my mouth to chant: Hare Krishna! ys KPdd
