Guest guest
Your accussations are false, I am only accepting disciples for the sake of exapnding Srila Prabhpuada's movement not out of any desire for followers. If you don't believe me all I can see is that you should ask Srila Prabhupada when you go back to Godhead. Srila Prabhupada said that I am a sincere devotee. You say that I am not. Therefore you are going against the words of Srila Prabhuapda. YS Sankarshan Das Adhikari Krishna Priya (dasi) (Amsterdam - NL) [Krishna.Priya (AT) pamho (DOT) net] Sunday, January 16, 2005 11:27 PM Sankarshan Das Adhikari You are making false accusations against me.- am I really? Dear Sankarsan prabhu. Hare Krishna.Pamho. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. Re your writing: "you are accusing me of acting out of my own personal motivation for profit, adoration, and distinction." Yes, I am accusing you of acting out of personal motivation. You fail to understand that ISKCON is Srila Prabhupada's Institution and that in ISKCON Srila Prabhupada only is allowed to occupy the seat of ACHARYA. "This is not a fact." Proof it. If Srila Prabhupada's orders are sacred to you and if Srila Prabhupada's Movement is sacred to you, then stop acting as Diksa Guru in the presence of Srila Prabhupada, in his movement, using his books and his specific standards and instructions. You may still act as Guru, but on behalf of Srila Prabhupada, as Ritvik. "My only desire is to serve the order of my Guru Maharaja. I surrendered to Srila Prabhupada for the simple purpose of being fully surrendered servant of Krishna." I am sorry that I have to disappoint you by telling you that the if this was really the case, you would endeavour to understand what it means to be truly surrendered servant of Srila Prabhupada and respect his order. "And to this day 34 years later this remains my only motivation. Srila Prabhupada encouraged me that I could become a spiritual master and even gave me pointers on how I could qualify myself to serve him in this way." Srila Prabhupada encouraged everyone to become spiritual master. If one desires to be fully surrendered to Srila Prahupada and serve Him in his mission, then this means: 'continue to be ritvik, and act on my behalf'. "I am accepting disciples for no other purpose to serve his mission, not because I have any desire for followers." Are you really? That is the exact point of my questioning. As a friend, I have to state the truth to you, not flatter your false ego. So, agein I am asking you: are you really only accepting disciples to serve Srila Prabhupada? Stop then claiming your 'socalled disciples' as your own; they are Srila Prabhupada's disciples. But if you are too attached to being Guru in your right, then do not claim you doing so within the framework of ISKCON. Of course I understand it is not entirely your own fault. The blame is to go for the greater part to the GBC and the first Ritviks, who have misrepresented Srila Prabhupada, misguided the ISKCON devotees and the world at large. This is not simply my opinion, it is a fact, that already has been noticed by the outside world, the academic world, but to which the inner core of ISKCON members seem to be oblivious............and that is very sad! yours in Srila Prabhupada's service, Krishnapriya devi dasi
Guest guest
Hare Krsna, It's is always too bad when one's sincerity is doubted. We are all human, so I am sure that it is natural for every kind of thought and idea to go through our minds, including other people's motivation. However, even though he does not recall our association, I knew Sankarsana das in the early 1970's in Gainesville, and he is one of the most sincere and dedicated Krsna devotees that I have ever encountered. There should be no doubt that he is qualified to initiate new devotees. He is the only devotee I ever knew who would thank people for reminding him to perform some austerity in Krsna's service, instead of saying 'mind your own business', which is what I would say. Even when I would come to the temple at 2am or 4am, depressed and stoned he always made some effort to be compassionate and at the same time engage me in some KC activity.
