Guest guest
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada! Is there a "composition history" available for the SSR, i.e., an overview of the original sources for the different texts of which the SSR is a compilation? For instance, the first part of Chapter 1, "Discovering the Self", consists of the purport of ISO mantra 3 and continues with more from "The Urgent Need for Krsna consciousness" (BTG #47, 197?). Also, the section "Human Society or Animal Society?" was taken from "Civilization and Transcendence." (The introduction to this section says, "In an interview with India's Bhavan's Journal in August 1976, ®r…la Prabhup€da asked, . . . .") If I would have such a composition history I could easily identify and replace (at least certain) passages of the old (not very well done) Dutch edition of SSR with recently retranslated passages from Bhagavad-gita, ISO, C&T, etc. This would save me a lot of time. Thank you very much. Hare Krishna! Your humble servant, Rupa Sanatana Dasa
