Guest guest
(1) Srila Prabhupada did not mention the permanent ritvik system in his books or lectures. This is an obvious fact. And Srila Prabhupada knew that. (2) The permanent ritvik system is not mentioned by sadhu and sastra. And Srila Prabhupada knew that. No-one has yet found such a mention. (3) Srila Prabhupada gave the instruction to compare the guru's words with sadhu and sastra. This can be verified by searching "sadhu sastra guru vakya" in the Vedabase. (4) As tri-kala-jna, Srila Prabhupada knew that in the future his disciples will follow this instruction and compare the July 9th letter with his books, sadhu and sastra, and conclude that the permanent ritvik system is not what Srila Prabhupada intended. >From (1), (2), (3) and (4) follows: (5) If Srila Prabhupada had wanted to introduce a new initiation system, he would have stated that in the July 9th letter. Had Srila Prabhupada intended the ritvik system to continue after his departure, he would have added the following eight words to the July 9th letter - "This system will NOT terminate on my departure". A quick look at the letter tells us he it just says "henceforward". >From (5) follows the conclusion: Srila Prabhupada did not intend a permanent ritvik system. ys Ramakanta dasa
