Srila Prabhupada NectarThe Same Message

During the course of the pandal, I was struck by the

fact that Srila Prabhupada preached in the same way to

every audience. So I approached him to clarify one

thought.

"Krsna Consciousness is the perfection of every

discipline and endeavor. Yet I see you preach more or

less the same to everyone. Why don't we explain,

'Krsna Consciousness is the perfect communism,' or

'Krsna consciousness is the perfect welfare work,' or

psychology or social or economic or political system.

Why do we just present the same general philosophy

every time?"

"Unless someone is convinced of the philosophy," Srila

Prabhuapda replied, "and has practical experience of

it in his personal life, he will not feel the

inspiration to apply it in his occupational duty. So

we preach to convince everyone that he is not the

body, he is the eternal servant of Krsna, and he can

realize Krsna by chanting the Holy names."

Srila Prabhupada's answer made sense - and entered the

heart.
