Dear Tusti prabhu,

Please accept my humble obesiances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

 

I am deeply hurt by the untimely demise of Arjun Krsna Das. Actually he was

doing service a s a carpenter in ISKCON, Surat. Once I went to solve some

disturbed situation in Surat and he met me there. He expressed desire to

come to Juhu and work as a carpenter. I happily agreed since we are also in

need of a carpenter and agreed to pay some salary. Few months after he came

to Mumbai we came to know that he is suffering from cancer.Although he knew

it before he never revealed to us. Anyway he is a very simple and nice

devotee.

 

He stayed in Juhu temple about 3 years. During this period we tried our best

for his treatment. We treated in Tata Memorial Cancer hospital, the best

cancer hospital in India. I remembered that he was admitted in Hinduja

hopital and Bhaktivedenta Hospital at Meera Road.He was adminstered camy

therpay several times. Initially it was responding but in latter stage the

therapy ws not responding. In the meantime some body advise him to go to

Orissa for treatment. One quake in Orissa was treating him and he said that

he was better. Last year Mayapur festival when H.H. Sridhar Maharaj was

there, he came and meet me in conch building. I gave some financial

assistance.This time also when I was in Mayapur he came with some other

Bengali devotees and ask for some help. I asked him

whether his health is good. He said it is O.K. . I asked him whether you

have enough strength to do the carpentry work. He said he is managing. He

was also giving training to another devotee named Sundar Nimain, the

carpentary work. That was my last talk with him.

 

I am expressing my sincere condolence for the departure of Arjun Krishna das

and praying to Sri Sri Radha Rasabihari for his spiritual progress to achive

love of godhead.
