Safari 2005, Day 15, Ayodhya

 

Dear Mayapurlive members,

 

Hare Krishna.

 

Some of you might be wondering what has happened to the transcripts of the

Gaura Purnima and Jagannath Misra Utsava lectures from Mayapur.

 

On Gaura Purmina there were three speakers: HH Jayapataka Swami, HH

Mahavisnu Swami, and HH Sacinandana Swami. And on the 26th, Jagannath Misra

Utsava, HG Deena Bandhu Prabhu gave the Bhagavatam class. Judging by the

devotee response, this may have been the most inspiring class all festival.

 

There have been several obstacles to getting these classes done. One,

obviously, was that there were three classes to transcribe, and that too on

Gaura Purnima which is already such a busy day. Then also I left Mayapur for

the Safari on the 27th and have since had zero time to do any transcribing.

 

Another major problem is that the devotee from whom I was getting the audio

files from which I would do the transcribing (I don't have recording

equipment myself), fell sick on Gaura Purnima day and didn't record at all.

I tried tracking down recordings from several other devotees, but had no

luck. . . .

 

Thus, for the Gaura Purnima lectures, we are left with only the rough

transcription which Vidvan Gauranga Prabhu and I would type in the temple

during the class. From this, whenever I get the time after the Safari, I

will make a paraphrased summary to post on Mayapurlive.

 

I do have the audio file for Deena Bandhu Prabhu's class which I sent to

www.mayapur.info and www.harekrishna.org.au, but somehow these sites haven't

been updated for ages.

 

Hope this clarifies things with the silence on Mayapurlive.
