Although this seems to me to be a rather foolish comparison, may I suggest

you address it to those devotees you are referring to at Govardhan, rather

than implying in a public forum that they are "eating and sitting" like the

sahajiyas Srila Prabhupada refers to? That would be the intelligent course

of action, wouldn't you say? That may not have been your intention, but it

looks a little that way when you go public instead of making a submissive

enquiry to those involved. They're all easy enough to find, and all of them

have an address on PAMHO: HH Kesava Bharati Goswami (who, when he's not

travelling and preaching, works with the BBT, translating the writings of

the six goswamis of Vrindavan); or His Grace Gopiparanadhana prabhu, who

also translates the writings of the six goswamis (they both worked on the 3

volume "Srimad Bhagavatamrita," by Srila Sanatana Goswami), and who also

teaches at the college that has been recently set up to teach Sanskrit and

study the Srimad Bhagavatam and other literatures, all with the intention of

training devotees to continue the long Vaisnava tradition of translating

sacred texts and distributing them throughout the world; or several other

devotees you might find in PAMHO's address book under "Govardhan". I'm sure

they're well equipped to answer any queries you have, and to explain to you

how translating these great works doesn't reduce them to sahajiyas who are

eating and sitting, though I'm quite sure you never intended to imply that.

BTW, I've been to Govardhan, and I'd hardly describe it as "opulent." It has

nice gardens. But I recall seeing it in 1993 (I think it was) when it was

originally given to HH Tamal (not Tamil, incidentally) Krishna Goswami by

the King--I can't really recall the details of that, so I'm reluctant to say

much, but his disciples definitely didn't build it, nor did "others" (by

that I assume you mean ISKCON devotees?). However, I do recall it was quite

a wreck of a place, totally uninhabitable, and hardly what one would call a

'palace.' It had no plumbing, nothing--crumbling walls, a real wreck. It's

certainly been renovated so that it is inhabitable, but "opulent" is a

misnomer.
