Guest guest
Good old Lynn Miller and Small Farmer's Journal! As soon as I saw the "Sisters, Oregon" location-line in the header, I imediately suspected he had something to do with it. When we were publishing Hare Krsna Rural Life, I always thought of Small Farmer's Journal as my model. ys hkdd Mark Middle Mountain wrote: > http://news./s/ap/20050722/ap_on_bi_ge/farm_scene > >----------------------- >To from this mailing list, send an email to: >Cow-Owner (AT) pamho (DOT) net >

Guest guest
Not that I know of, but I've been out of contact w/ Alachua for three years - there was no one working at that time. Anyone on the conference from Alachua? ~ Gopal Noma Petroff <npetroff (AT) bowdoin (DOT) edu> dasgopal (AT) aol (DOT) com Cc: Cow (Protection and related issues) <Cow (AT) pamho (DOT) net> Fri, 22 Jul 2005 16:19:48 -0400 Re: Horse-and-Plow Farming Making a Comeback - News I think that was Sastra prabhu driving the oxen. I just got a memorial CD for my grandfather. He was born in the 1890s in South Africa. When he was 3 weeks old, his family moved from one area to another and my great grandfather drew a picture of the wagon they used. It was included on the CD. The wagon was pulled by a 16 oxen hitch. No indication who the driver or owner of the wagon was.

One of our new co-directors, Rama Vigraha prabhu is trying to revive the farm aspect of New Raman Reti, but it will take some time. Especially since anyone in agriculture is always expected to live several income brackets below the ambient.
Guest guest
I think I do remember that Rama Vigraha prabhu was working the oxen at Gita-nagari, at least for a little while. When Rama Vigraha and his wife Mitravindra first arrived at Gita-nagari, I taught his son Raghunatha some English. He learned very quickly. I suppose he must be college-age by now. Is the whole family still at New Ramana Reti, or have some married and moved elsewhere? Are any of Rama Vigraha's children still interested in farming? It's very good to hear that Rama Vigraha wants to revive ox power at Alachua. It's also good that he's planning it out carefully before jumping in. Gasoline will not get any cheaper. The day is coming soon when ox power will be a potent preaching tool. your servant, Hare Krsna dasi - Pancaratna ACBSP <Pancaratna.ACBSP (AT) pamho (DOT) net> Saturday, July 23, 2005 11:30 pm Re: Horse-and-Plow Farming Making a Comeback - News > > I think that was Sastra prabhu driving the oxen. Raghunath studied communications in college. >Are any of Rama > Vigraha's children still interested in farming?
