Guest guest
Does your picture look like this? -- I just found this photo of a historical picture of a South African ox team. Like Australia, they seemed to use very large teams. Interestingly, it appears that they were using voice commands, as I see a whip but no nose rings. Pretty big teams. In the "Bullock Driver's Handbook," Arthur Cannon (Australian) give the procedure for yoking up a big team like this. ys hkdd Mark Middle Mountain wrote: >>There were >>great pictures of devotees driving the oxen four abreast and sometimes two >>teams of four abreast in tendem (8 animals). >> >> > >I just got a memorial CD for my grandfather. Guest guest
Wow, I just noticed that you said your grandfather *drew* the picture of the 16 oxen pulling the wagon. That would be great to see! ys hkdd Noma Petroff wrote: >Does your picture look like this? -- I just found this photo of a >historical picture of a South African ox team.
