For instance we know of the names of the eighteen Puranas, namely the Brahma, Padma, Visnu, Siva, Srimad-Bhagavatam, Narada, Markandeya, Agni, Bhavisya, Brahma-vaivarta, Liìga, Varaha, Skanda, Vamana, Kurma, Matsya, Garuda and Brahmanda Purana, because they are stated as such in Srimad-Bhagavatam 12.13.4-9 Such a list could also be compiled by going through all the books of Srila Prabhupada.
