Guest guest
....common sense or not... Cows are sacred and we, as devotees, are treating and respecting all cows (any gender) as such. It is due to our low birth that, even after so many years of following, do not understand the importance of worshiping the cows (any gender). You would not put your foot on your Radha Krishna Deities, would you? Or we even learned not to walk or step over any devotees. Now what to speak of putting your feet on the bull/ox or cow while riding them.... I asked several local farmers here in Mayapur about the riding thing, they all answered more or less the same thing: "Oh, this is an offence, Maha offence! The cow and bullock will do many services for you, however if, even by accident, anyone putting their feet on a cow (any gender), must pay their full dandavat to the cow." ....we've got a lot to learn...
