Guest guest
Hare Krishna I'm forwarding this snippet from Cherryleaf since it may be of interest to Indian devotees. I can't find the actual article on the Cyber India website. Because of ISKCON's preaching emphasis, there is quite a large overlap between many devotees' skill sets and those required of a technical author. I'm one myself, and for anyone with technical and writing abilities (English, not Indlish), it can be a good career. Skills learned as a technical author can also be put to good use in devotional service. Most TAs seem to work in software, although there is a requirement for all industries. Think Noida and Bangalore. If anyone is interested, I can put you in touch with people and information about the profession. Ys Arjunanatha dasa Technical Authors in short supply in India According to an article published in Cyber India Online Limited (CIOL) "The demand for tech writers in the Indian IT industry is around 10,000 professionals and only 50 percent of this requirement is met." Salaries are rising by 20% pa as a result. It will be interesting to see if the supply levels can rise to meet the demand. -- Version: 7.0.338 / Virus Database: 267.10.1/64 - Release 04/08/2005
