How to handle Janmasthami fasting

Dear Prabhus,

I have been wondering how to handle the fasting on Janmasthami, which is all

day. The point is if you have got a diabetic condition that requires

mandatory medication and the accompanied meal. If you don't take the

medication on the fasting day, the blood sugar goes up, and if you take the

medicine but do not eat, it is also dangerous for the blood sugar.

 

So how to handle this?

 

Vaisnava's advice is urgently needed.
