HG sumedha chaithanya has served in the movement for the past six years and has been a full time brahmachari with ardent vigor in preaching and book distribution.His interests were mainly in the area of book distibution,preaching to young boys,tourists,accounting etc for the temple. HG Sumedha chaitanya das had accompanied the procession of Sree Sree Gaura Nithai of their annual Panihati celebrations by the Thiruvanathapuram temple on 03.07.05.Their Lord ships were bathed in the river near the temple followed by Kirtan,offering of bhoga etc .A very joy ful HG sumedha chaitanya das had danced in the kirtan followed by a drama in which he took the part of Lord Krishna talking to his devotee and later enjoyed the sumptuos prasadam.HG sumedha chaitanya das who was always very eager in honouring large quantities of prasadam did the same on this day as were as remembered by the matajis serving the prasadam.The group of devotees were headed by HG SarvaisvaryDas ,Temple President and Temple Secretary H G Jagad Sakshi das , Trivandrum. At the end of the glorious day of their Lordship's Panihati Festival H.G. Sumedha Caitanya was swept away by the water while trying to take a dip in the river which had bathed their lordships. An attempt to save Him by two devotees who were also swept away and later rescued did not work. H G Sumedha Caitanya's body was retrieved on 05.07.05 from the water and last obeisance paid by devotees. A prayer and rememberance of Sumedha Caitanyua was held at the temple on 06.07.05.
