Guest guest
<<<<On April 22, 1977 Srila Prabhupada said: "Yes. I shall choose some guru. I shall say, “Now you become acarya. You become authorized.” I am waiting for that. You become all acarya. I retire completely. But the training must be complete." But the ritvikvadis say: "No, he did not authorize any diksa guru." Did Srila Prabhupada lie? Or is he unable to complete the training? Or what? ys Ramakanta dasa>>> Sorry for interfering here, but it is simply inconceivable for me, that the simple fact that Srila Prabhupada was referring to "officiating acaryas" also called "ritvik", which he consequently appointed. Even if Srila Prabhupada may have contemplated to appoint 'acharyas' and those are 'acaryas in own right', not disciplined by a GBC body..........what is important is that in the end - he choose to appoint "officiating acharyas". Also in earlier statements, when Srila Prabhupada says that his disciples can initiate in the future - e.g. as soon as they have passed some exams....the idea is clearly - in the capacity of "representative of the acarya", as Srila Prabhupada was physically present and had said that in his presence no one could initiate disciples ( for themselves ). As I understand, Srila Prabhupada did not terminate this Ritvik system, but rather clarified it further and send out a directive to te whole movement, that ( in his physical absence especially - as SdG had asked ) should be followed henceforward..........giving no instruction whatsoever that it should stop at any time in the future. The claim made by TKG and followed ever since, by the whole Iskcon GBC, that every disciple has birthright to become guru, when his guru departs is simply a speculation, because Srila Prabhupada has stated that without qualification and without authorization no one can become (diksha) guru. Authorization to individuals to initiate within the framework of Iskcon is quite impossible, as in Iskcon Srila Prabhupada was, is and shall rmain the only Diksa guru. That his own disciples refuse to accept this fact is sad.. It is the last snare of maya, wich is keeping them from seeing the obvious truth...... your servant, Kpdd (Errors and omissions excepted)
