Let me rephrase then so it's clearer: it's not necessarily every individual, but more a collective mindset. A few seem to have escaped the idiocy, but the majority have failed. > Jayadvaita Swami took birth in America as did your Guru Maharaja, are you > lumping them in also?. Are you trying to be alarmist or cause some kind of argument or controversy by cornering me with my own words? I have consistently said "the majority". Think again: you said I'm a smart girl. Surely you don't think I'm so stupid to consider my own guru maharaja a product of his own environment over and above being a product of his association with Srila Prabhupada? > > I don't see how the way you are using the term "American" is any different > then from someone using a pejorative to lump everyone of a certain race or > gender into a convenient package for them to dump on. Not exactly > "preaching the glories of the Lord." as you profess you want to do. Oh come on, Maharaja, really! You've successfully weaved out of admitting that anything I said in my text was anything close to the truth by focussing on one point of lumping everyone together! The FACT is that America as a whole shoves their morals, ethics, values, and politics down the collective throats of the world, stomps around the planet like they own it, and is trying to turn every nation into a replica of itself. Are you trying to now tell me that the people from this country are FREE from this influence??? Or are you, as an American-bodied devotee, also in denial about the ruination that America is bringing down upon the world? Or gee, I'm just bitter, or insane, and I've made it all up...yeah, right... I don't consider every American devotee an "American." I don't judge a person by their birth first and their devotional nature second. But *most* American devotees I know show strong traits of being American. How is this avoidable? I'm an Aussie and show strong traits of being so; same with anyone else who is born in and influenced by their country, and that would possibly be everyone, to one degree or another. So for you to deny that a great amount of American devotees are infected with their own version of national zeal is embarrassing.
