Guest guest
Hare Krsna everybody ! Please accept my humble obeisances, all glories to Srila Prabhupada. Thanks Ramdas Shetty for your inspiring letter! I thought it was very true indeed about not trying to force our loved ones along the spiritual path, prematurely. I hope that others also benefited from reading it. Along this note, there won't be much to read from this conference if no-one writes anything ! This is an open forum in which to share. I would like to humbly encourage all members to share a little something about themselves and the situation in which they find themselves. We now have up to 12 members, so hopefully we can have a little more interaction!!!We have 10 male and 2 female members(excluding me). Well, I may as well write something now I'm already on-line. I had a really good Radhastami. My husband decided he wanted to come with me. He really likes devotees, so he had a good chat with some prabhus that he has met on occasions before. He wanted to swing the deities, so he made a donation and got a plate of sweets to offer. I was surprised at his humble and submissive attitude, and thought about how far he had come in 4 years. He loved the drama that the gurukula kids put on-Radha and the bumblebee. This was the first time he had actively taken part, and really enjoyed all parts of the programme. Normally he says "lets go home now", but I was the one who eventually said we needed to leave. We finished off the festival taking prasadam, and my husband had two plates, filling himself to capacity!!! Seeing him having a transcendentally good time, actually inspired me spiritually, and developed more respect for him as a seedling devotee. All in all it was a happy and satisfying day, and my husband said again how he had enjoyed the day so much before he fell asleep....Could there be some taste developing? Hurray! y.s.
