Guest guest
Dear Gaura Kesava Prabhu, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. >What IS the editorial policy >of the BBTI and it's website krishna.com? >Are all Srila Prabhupada's disciple's >opinions on all subjects equally acceptable to be published by BBTI >and/or on krishna.com? Till now, Krishna.com had stuck to staff-written noncontroversial material, so the question hadn't arisen. The fact that it has now started to arise has highlighted the need to draft some policies. Meanwhile, the article in question has moved offsite. And forming editorial policies is still a work in progress. One idea we have in mind to create an area of the site where selected contributors we believe can offer high-quality material can do more or less whatever they like--a sort of experimental, "hard hat" area. The Nama Gupta episode has shown that such an area would need to be clearly labeled--in something like neon--to make clear precisely what it is. In any case, other work at Krishna.com has higher priority, so such matters have for now moved to the back burners. Hare Krsna. Hoping this finds you in good health, Your servant, Jayadvaita Swami ------------------- www.krishna.com/jas -------------------
Guest guest
>There are enough conspiracy theories within "ISKCON" without getting >involved in these larger issues. If there is to be any political >dialogue about the system of governance it should begin (at home) >with the system within the "ISKCON" society. Members and well-wishers >should concentrate on reforming that system first. Of course, we have a lot of internal ISKCON issues that need talking about. But I suspect that, every now and then, for us to take a break from rehashing and rehashing our own internal controversies and take a shot at addressing the concerns of the rest of the world from a Krsna conscious point of view might not be such a bad idea. Talking to the *rest* of the world for a change might even help solve our internal problems. --ys, js
