On chanting japa/mellow

I once downloaded a wonderful document I remember was written by one of the

six Goswamis. It was all about japa,like how one should always use a bead

bag, how to hold the beads and so much more. Can someone tell me who and

where to get it again?

 

Another question is I've never found the word mellow used as a noun in any

English dictionary, including the Oxford. Does any one have an idea about

this, like archaic Indian English?
