Guest guest
4) "The ritvik system will stop the disciplic succession (parampara)." a) Conducting initiations with Srila Prabhupada as the diksa Guru cannot stop the disciplic succession, otherwise it would have already stopped when Srila Prabhupada was initiating from 1966 to 1977. It didn't stop then, and therefore it will not stop now, unless it is stated that initiations can only be conducted in the physical presence of the Guru for the parampara to continue. But Srila Prabhupada never states this. b) Srila Prabhupada never defined the disciplic succession in terms of physical bodies. He has defined the disciplic succession (parampara) as follows: "Parampara means to hear the truth from the spiritual master." (Srila Prabhupada Room Conversation,20/12/76) So clearly this "hearing the truth from the spiritual master" is continuing even today with Srila Prabhupada, in the same manner as it did from 1966 to 1977. Guest guest
What it all boils down to, really, is the question of the authority we select to follow. You can pose your assertions from now on till the end of days, but it's all meaningless as long as you have not understood Prabhupada's teachings. The devil also quotes the Bible, as they say. Now, I know you are not going to get any of this, since you are evidently not well versed in Vaishnava philosophy, but I am just stating it for the record. You end every text of yours with the IRM logo, which promises to reveal the guru-hoax in ISKCON. That means you refer to them and accept IRM as authority. You advise us to follow the authority of IRM instead of the GBC and ISKCON. This is the crux of the matter here. The main authority in IRM is KK Desai. Why do you consider him an authority? He has never lived in a temple, he has never received any formal training as a devotee. He has never submitted to any devotional authority. He has never met Prabhupada, or associated closely with those who knew Prabhupada, and who received personal training and instructions from him. My question then is, how did a person like that gain such insight in Srila Prabhupada's mission and legacy? Where did he get it from? You have yet to answer that question. Yet you claim that only he, and not one amongst Prabhupada's direct disciples and followers, has the ability to understand Prabhupada correctly. Can't you see the foolishness of such a claim? > 4) "The ritvik system will stop the disciplic > succession (parampara)." > > a) Conducting initiations with Srila Prabhupada as the > diksa Guru cannot stop the disciplic succession, > otherwise it would have already stopped when Srila > Prabhupada was initiating from 1966 to 1977.
