Spiritual Significance of Diwali Festivities:

 

- Lord Ramchandra returned to Ayodhya after 14 years of exile and

killing the demon Raavan.

 

- Lord Krishna's sweet "Damodar-Lila" took place. Mother Yashoda tied

the belly (udar) of Lord Krishna with the ropes (daam). "The Supreme

Personality of Godhead" - Lord Shri Krishna by whom fear personified is

fearful, can be bound by pure love of His Pure Devotees.

 

- Lord Krishna lifted Govardhan Hill to protect His devotees in

Vrindavan from the wrath of Lord Indradev.
