It may do our job easy. It may extract fats from milk. But according to ayurvedic experts the ghee which is made by churning curd then getting butter and the geting ghee is the best way to get ghee. Only such ghee is good for health. This cream method may give us fat which look like ghee but I think it may have few bad effects on our health. Also the buttermilk which we get while churning is a wonderfull product which is uncomparable. If we are determined and are ready to take some pains then we get wonderfull effects. We want to enjoy but not in the way recommended in vedas. In india we see even among vegeterians have good risk of cholestrol and heart problems. This is because of cream ghee. the ghee from butter has cholestrol but it doesn't cause trouble as the cream ghee does. So I say better we don't forget the old ways and take up these mechanised ways to deal with natural gifts of mother cow. Also its fun and joy to do the job of churning and then boiling the butter. This is my personnal opinion and will try to give some statistics in due course of time. I do churn my own ghee for my medicinal requirements. So I am proposing.
