Guest guest
Hare Krishna, _/\o_ few quotes below. Elevation to Krishna Consciousness, ch. 5: We should try humbly to understand and offer Her our obeisances, saying, "R€dh€r€Š…, You are so dear to KŠa. You are the daughter of King Vabh€nu, and You are KŠa's beloved. We offer our respectful obeisances unto You. R€dh€r€Š… is very dear to KŠa, and if we approach KŠa through the mercy of R€dh€r€Š…, we can easily attain Him. If R€dh€r€Š… recommends a devotee, KŠa immediately accepts him, however foolish he may be. Consequently in Vnd€vana we find that devotees chant R€dh€r€Š…'s name more often than KŠa's. Wherever we go in India we will find devotees calling, "Jaya R€dhe." We should be more interested in worshiping R€dh€r€Š…, for however fallen we may be, if somehow or other we can please Her, we can very easily understand KŠa. If we try to understand KŠa by the speculative process, we will have to spend many lifetimes of speculation; but if we take to devotional service and just try to please R€dh€r€Š…, then KŠa can be very easily realized. R€dh€r€Š… is such a great devotee that She can deliver KŠa. Lecture - SB 6.1.62, Vrindavana, August 29, 1975: And R€dh€r€Š… is so great that She attracts KŠa. Therefore She is the greatest. In the Vnd€vana, therefore, people are accustomed to chant R€dh€r€Š…'s name more than KŠa's name—"Jaya R€dhe." Yes. If you want KŠa's favor, you just try to please R€dh€r€Š…. So this is the way. Lecture - SB 7.9.11-13, Hawaii, March 24, 1969: Just like we say, "R€dh€-KŠa." R€dh€-KŠa. So R€dh€'s name is first. Why? Nobody can be better devotee than R€dh€r€Š…. So as soon as R€dh€'s name is there, KŠa is more pleased. So that is the way. So if we glorify the devotees, the character of the devotees, before the Lord, He's more pleased than to glorify Himself, He directly. Radhastami, London, August 29, 1971: Therefore in Vnd€vana you'll find all the devotees, they're chanting more R€dh€r€Š…'s name than KŠa's. Wherever you'll go, you'll find the devotees are addressing, "Jaya R€dhe." You'll find still in Vnd€vana. They are glorifying R€dh€r€Š…. They're more interested, worshiping R€dh€r€Š…. Because however fallen I may be, if some way or other I can please R€dh€r€Š…, then it is very easy for me to understand KŠa. Otherwise, manuy€Š€ˆ sahasreu kacid yatati siddhaye yatat€m api siddh€n€ˆ kacid vetti m€ˆ tattvataƒ [bg. 7.3] If you go by the speculative process to understand KŠa, it will take many, many lives. But if you take devotional service, just try to please R€dh€r€Š…, and KŠa will be gotten very easily. Because R€dh€r€Š… can deliver KŠa. She is so great devotee, the emblem of mah€-bh€gavata. Prema Bhakti Candrika 9.10: kŠa-n€ma-g€ne bh€i r€dhik€-caraŠa p€i r€dh€-n€ma-g€ne kŠacandra sa‰kepe kahila kath€ gh™c€o manera byath€ d™ƒkha-maya anya kath€-dwandwa SYNONYMS kŠa-n€ma—the holy names of KŠa; g€ne—by chanting; bh€i—O dear brothers; r€dhik€-caraŠa—the lotus feet of ®r… Radhik€; p€i—attain; r€dh€-n€ma—the holy name of R€dh€; g€ne—by chanting; kŠacandra—the moonlike KŠa; sa‰kepe—in brief; kahila kath€—I have thus explained; gh™c€o—destroy; manera byath€—pains of the mind; d™ƒkha-maya—full of miseries; anya kath€—mundane topics; dwandwa—duality. TRANSLATION O brother, simply by chanting the names of KŠa, one can receive the lotus feet of R€dhik€, and by chanting the names of R€dhik€, one can receive the lotus feet of KŠa. Thus, I have briefly explained everything by which you will be relieved from the pains of your heart. All other topics are full of miseries and dualities. The Gaudiya Vaisnava Samadhis in Vrindavana - Mahanidhi Swami, ch. 5: “Once Sri Radha Krishna Dasaji, a Vaisnava scholar and previous mahanta of Radha-kunda, told me (Gopalcandra Ghosh), 'Gopalaji, one day we were very much in anxiety about some property dealings concerning Radha-kunda. During this time I had a most unusual experience. At midnight, while I was chanting japa in my kutir by the side of Radha-kunda, I saw one sadhu in babaji dress coming out from inside of Raghunatha Dasa Gosvami's samadhi mandir. 'After bathing in Radha-kunda he looked directly at me, smiling ever so slightly. Then he entered the samadhi and vanished. Overwhelmed, I paid my dandavats. While lying before the entrance to Sri Raghunatha Dasa Gosvami's samadhi, I heard someone say to me from inside the samadhi, “Don't worry, everything will turn out correctly. Just always chant Radharani's name, and if you're doing this work for Her service then you will get victory. And if you think, 'this is my property, I am the mahanta,' and claim ownership, then you can't stay in Vrndavana.'“ Your servant, bh.
