Guest guest
Dear Yaduraja Prabhu, PAMHO. AGTSP! > You ask: > > "Did Srila Prabhupada from 1978 to 2005 order that he stopped being the > sole diksa-guru for ISKCON?" > > I have seen no evidence for this. You did not answer my question. Please answer with "yes", "no", or "we don't know". BTW: Dr. Frog said, "I have seen no evidence for the existence of an ocean." > You ask: > > "Will Srila Prabhupada some time in the future give such an order?" > > I see no purpose in such speculation. So your answer is "we don't know". Please correct me if I am wrong. > You could just as well ask: 'will Srila Prabhupada some time in the future > tell us to stop chanting?' What is the use of such speculation? When Srila Prabhupada was present, he did not announce that he will say that. Therefore I will not ask that question. > How is it possible to prove that Srila Prabhupada will not do something in > the future? Please tell us? By quoting a statement from Srila Prabhupada where he declares that he will never do it. > You ask: > > "And yet another question: Did Srila Prabhupada announce that he will stop > being the sole diksa-guru for ISKCON?" > > No, that is what point b) asserts. Please carefully read your point b). You wrote, "Srila Prabhupada never ordered that he should ever stop being the diksa guru for ISKCON." Your point does not say that Srila Prabhupada never ANNOUNCED that he will order that he will stop being the sole diksa-guru for ISKCON. > Based on available evidence, which is the only evidence that matters with > regards how ISKCON is meant to run, he did not. He announced it: On April 22, 1977 Srila Prabhupada said, "Yes. I shall choose some guru. I shall say, 'Now you become acarya. You become authorized.' I am waiting for that. You become all acarya. I retire completely. But the training must be complete." (By "guru" he meant "regular guru" as confirmed on May 28, 1977 by "When I order, 'You become guru,' he becomes regular guru.") Also note that Srila Prabhupada never ordered that he will continue to be the sole diksa guru for ISKCON after his departure. ys Ramakanta dasa
