Guest guest
Just wanted to share this letter I found on the Lehman's non-electric conference. A new use for bulls. ys hkdd *************************** Regarding Jersey Bulls - Jean's father had a herd of Jersey cattle, and the bull was the nastiest, most vicious creature I have ever known! He was so mean that his dad put an electric fence around a Machine Shed they had that was a ways from the house and other buildings, and right next to a major highway. And the bull was pastured there. Many times we would hear a truck stop at night, and look out the window to find thieves walking across the road ditch to get to the machine shed. Then we would hear a low roar, increasing in vigor and volume! We would hear frantic running and yelling "Run, Run, Run for your LIFE!!" followed by a truck engine starting and the truck roaring away! No thief ever tried a second time. ALL Jersey bulls are dehorned, ALL have a ring in their nose. Both are necessary! The only thing meaner and more dangerous than a Jersey Bull is an Ayrshire. BUT - You can have your cattle artificially inseminated almost anywhere in the US and Canada, by the BEST proven sires in the world! It is NOT NECESSARY TO HAVE YOUR OWN BULL!!!
