[seeing Srila Prabhupada for the 1st time] was so miraculous. I've just had

it confirmed, after 28 years, that two other devotees saw the same thing I

did. Srila Prabhupada came up the escalator. This was the Detroit airport. A

lot of kirtan was going on. The Vyasasana was set up. He came up the

escalator. One would normally expect Srila Prabhupada to walk off the

escalator. Prabhupada didn't come off the escalator; he kept coming upwards,

off the escalator, floating above the escalator, and started to float over

to the Vyasasana. While this was happening, there was a brilliant, sun-like

effulgence coming off of him. I had never hallucinated before. Then Srila

Prabhupada gently floated down and settled into the seat. The next time I

raised my head was twenty minutes later; my head was on the ground crying

for twenty minutes. When I looked up, everyone else was also down. I

remember Laxmimoni was looking at Srila Prabhupada, and tears were coming

from her eyes. I thought that this was just my experience. Just recently,

however, Indradyumna Maharaja and Suresvara Prabhu told me they saw the same

thing.
