beatting women - part of bigger problem

Sick stuff? What do you mean? Probably you got caught on Subject title

"beatting women - ...". My idea was more to discuss things regarding second

part of Subject title, namely "part of bigger problem".

 

Like I described in my letter: "It is all based on our desired image in

public, how nice we want to look. It is commercially important to look nice,

otherwise nobody will buy what you sell. But limits, limits, where are

limits?"

 

I ment discussion more in this line... The limits, how far we can go, to be

still considered as followers of Srila Prabhupada. Whare are the limits,

that must not be stepped over? Like, why is there desire to adjust Srila

Prabhupada's teachings, and what can we do about it. I described this in my

letter. This "beatting women" really seems to stick-out, everybody gets

hooked to it... Maybe I should change the Subject title.

 

Anyway, I gained some experience regarding adjusting Srila Prabhupada books

in last months, when it appeared in my local area and I stepped out against

it. And I got stepped over real hard for that. Anyway, I would like to

hear opinions from other devotees on this subject of ISKCON seeking to be

accepted in karmi world, even to the point of being ready to change SP

books, in order to erase those parts, which are embarrasing to some. And

this subject of "beatting women" seems to surface certain kind of emotions,

which can somehow be connected with desire to adjust our books.

 

Anyway, I just need to exchange some opinions, to gain some confidence in my

understanding, and change it as needed. I was hoping for some nectar, but

this unfortunate "beatting women" just sticks out too much. I really wonder

why are devotees so upset about it. Anyway....

you should not bring up subjects that are not favorabel to your advancement

in KC, then otherwise you will simply agitate others minds....please only talk

on things of relevance,if everyone chants Hare Krishna how is there a need to

beat women.Better to go out on Hari nama and sell books and be practical to

spread KC....simply cheap talk wont save the

world, this is the essence of Srila Prabhupadas teachings
