Guest guest
Hare Krishna mother, _/\o_ thank you for your comments. I don't know what is your background, our experience may be very different. I'm just contributing my experience and opinion here. It cannot serve as any kind of permission. I've been talking mainly about beating children. Proper reasoning should come first and beating (a slap is often enough) should be only the last solution. There is a saying that 'good children bring up themselves'. Who has such kids? Obviously the beating shouldn't cripple one - that's the negative way. > You have to be liberated like Krishna to cause violence with love! > Any violence that we do normally is tinged with the lower modes due > to our material attachment. Well, that's an ideal situation but my parents were not liberated, just had a common sense and wanted our best. One should always ask for the purpose. Anything good is open to abuse, you know. Hope this clarifies the issue a bit. Your servant, bh.
