Guest guest
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. > > I think i agree with you. The question is just if ISKCON devotees are > ready to be lead by persons who knows what they are doing, and what if we > can't agree together who's right and who's wrong? The point is, if ISKCON is defined by Srila Prabhupada's teachings, then ISKCON devotees MUST be ready to be lead by unified understanding. We MUST agree on something, otherwise we don't agree on anything, and then where is our ISKCON, if everybody has his own opinion? GBC takes on responsibility of guiding ISKCON. ISKCON members MUST agree with GBC Laws, and GBC MUST take care, that their laws are followed. This will empower GBC, to correct mistakes in laws, which will be beneficial for whole ISKCON society. Untill GBC Law is accepted as Unified Law for ISKCON, there is no real support for GBC, and they are just busy doing things, that nobody cares about anyway. This is not empowering position, and leader cannot function properly in such compromised position. First GBC needs to find ways for ISKCON to follow its laws, then they need to be open for feedback from society and adjust problematic laws. There must be some bi-directional, open comunication between leaders and followers, and thats the case also for GBC as highest leadership body of ISKCON. Untill nobody can tell them what he needs, nobody will follow what they want. And thus GBC will maintain leadership of organization, which doesn't care about its own leadership. Thus leadership is practice moved apart from GBC, and instead performed on carismatic local level. And then there is no ISKCON in reality, ISKCON just becomes a label, just a common denomination for all different local carismatic moods. But thats very similar to Gaudiya-math, isn't it? So where is then the success of ISKCON collective managment? your servant Giri-nayaka das
